In Ear Headphones Volume Control Broken

Simply Put, that's what's wrong with it the volum and that's the only thing the mic works, the pause and skip track function works the only thing that doesn't work is the + & - buttons for volum do they do anything else, is there anything else that could be conflicting with those functions?
